This year's installations will be presented in stairwells or at any stairs.

Call at New Music Engine

Starting in 2021, we have programmed 170 installations with at least one in every state. This year we will install speakers into stairs - and continue the program - with the hope to exceed 200 installations.

We program electronic composition or recordings of live music. You will need to be a member of the Sounds New Chapter in order to participate or be considered for programming.

These installations are highly interactive and we do discuss the experience with participants. We include a link to a brochure (see below)

The installations start in February of 2025. All works will be vetted for suitability, quality, and length. Composers may submit up to 2 works with the total time of all submissions under 10 minutes. If a work is not suitable, we will advise and allow composers to resubmit up to the close of the call.
